"Cut your Shelter Dog some Slack"

Picture
You see her in the shelter, all big, soulful eyes, eager tail, floppy ears and gentle submission. But just get her home and she's the devil in disguise. Remember: you have to cut your new rescued pup some slack. Behind every shelter dog is a story of loss, struggle and survival. Which is exactly why you are rescuing her! You are her knight in shining armor. Just remember, it may be a few months before she can believe that she's in her forever home. Until then, you've got to give her time to settle in.

Do you have room in your heart and home to provide
temporary care for a rescued shelter pet?
For every pet that is fostered, another life can be saved.
WWAR covers all veterinary expenses plus food, treats, bedding,

crate, toys, bowls, collar, leash and any other supplies as needed.

Fostering a dog can be a very rewarding experience.

By providing a little training and a lot of love,
foster homes can drastically affect the
“adoptability” of the dogs fostered.

Ask us about our Temporary foster
1, 2 or 3 week
   rotation plan!!!
You CAN help!

Dog fighting is a form of blood sport in which dogs are made to fight   . . . . . sometimes, to the death!

Face it Philadelphia, it's right here in our own city and happening much more than you know.
      LET'S DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!
- Dogs involved in dog fights are often severely injured--or killed--during the fight.
- These fights may last for hours until one of the animals quits or dies.
- Furthermore, these animals do not receive veterinary attention.
- Losers that do not die may be tortured, starved to death, or killed outright by their owners.
- Other animals, such as owned pets or strays may be stolen and used as "bait" to train fighting dogs, often suffering before they die.

It is Dangerous to People -- Especially Children   ..........
Exposure to dog fighting can have a direct effect on our children.
